QUESTION
Why is it recommended to have hot water (140 degree) supplied to the Baxter 600 water meter if our objective is to cool it down? Why can't I run a cold water supply line to the unit instead of a
hot water supply line?
ANSWER
Hello, we have asked the manufacturer about this and they have said that the water meter has both hot and cold water inputs to facilitate in dispensing the desired water temperature. There is a mixing valve inside the unit that mixes both hot and cold. If you want only cold water, it is not necessary to have the hot water but you must have some water supplied to both sides so that there is no adverse effect on the mixing valve. This product does not heat or cool water, it only mixes it and dispenses it. If further assistance is needed, our customer service department can be reached at 1-866-634-8927. Thank you!
