QUESTION
Does this need to be hand washed?

ANSWER
Yes, this needs to be handwashed. Warm, soapy water should do fine, and if you'd like to keep the polish on it, then barkeeper's polish would work. Or you can just let it naturally develop the patina if you'd like.
